I think it all began with Ephraim Kishon. We had a book which was a compilation of thousands of his short stories. At this point I discovered the joy of satires. Little stories which dissect an element of human nature with surgical precision. Satirists are the best philosophers. While your average philosopher is dealing with the metaphysical and intangible, satirists look everyday situations and figure out why we act the way we do. And satirists are funny, which philosophers generally are not.
So with my writings I hope to do just that: look at situations in my life and find the humor in them. Because, after all, what is life without a little laugh?
